The city of Denver in Colorado does have affordable apartments, however it is one of the more expensive cities to live in America with prices and cost of living well above the national average at 35%. The median price for an apartment here is about $700 a month. Basic studio apartments start in the $400-$500 range, while luxury apartments will top $2000 a month.

If you like urban living then explore the downtown area. There are hundreds of restaurants, galleries, clubs and shops mixed in and around loft apartments. If you can afford the luxury then look no farther than the Cherry Creek neighborhood, located along the 22 mile Cherry Creek trail, for bikers, runners and walkers. If you would prefer not to live downtown then you might want to explore the suburbs of Lakewood, Aurora, Arvada and Westminster to name a few. Denver is Colorado's largest city and also its capital. In the past several years it has constructed a new airport, a new baseball stadium, a central library a light rail system and an amusement park. The economy is strong with a growing population and a rising city profile.

There is good quality of life in this area, known primarily for mountains and skiing. The population is ethnically diverse with a flourishing art scene. The core downtown is filled with restaurants, clubs, boutiques galleries and cafes. The city is committed to preserving historic architecture and improving its parks and naturally green areas. Sports fans can follow the Broncos, Rockies, and Nuggets professional teams.

Denver's year round climate is relatively mild, however wintertime temperatures do fall into the teens and there is an abundance of snow.
