Florida rental apartments start at $400-$500 per month and can top off at about $2000 per month for downtown townhouses and trendy lofts. Locals concern themselves with the downtown farmer's market on the weekends, the Orlando Philharmonic and the Orlando Magic in season. They leave the more than 95 theme parks and attractions to the tourists.

Bear in mind that much of the employment is tourist related, so jobs offered may be part time rather than full time if you live in the Orlando area.
